SPEAKERS

Mark Lesky
Director of Environmental Affairs, Nova Chemicals

Mark Lesky is currently the Director of Responsible Care for NOVA Chemicals. He has dedicated twenty-five years to the manufacturing and petrochemical industries, and has extensive leadership and technical experience covering environmental, health and safety issues.
Mark is a recognized expert in the subject of Environmental Health and Safety in the process industries. He led the implementation of Nova Chemicals' Emissions Management and Environmental Responsibility program, including the planning for and implementation of SAP's EH&S Emissions Management solution in a diverse multi-plant, international corporate enterprise.
Mark has a Bachelors' Degree in Geology from Columbia University and Masters' Degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Calgary. He is actively involved in numerous industry committees and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists, and Geophysicists of Alberta.

Marty Etzel
V.P. Marketing/Sustainability Group, SAP

Marty is the Vice President for Marketing within the Sustainability group at SAP.  In this role, Marty develops positioning and messaging for SAP’s strategy & solutions to address customer’s sustainability needs, covering needs such as environmental compliance, energy & carbon management, health & safety and product safety & stewardship.  Previously he was VP - Industry Solution Marketing for Process Industries and also led solution marketing for Chemicals industries.  Marty has been with SAP since 2004.

Previously, Marty worked over 20 years at Millennium Chemicals (now known as Cristal Global), a $2 billion/year chemicals producer, in various roles such as Business Unit Director, Marketing and eBusiness.  He also previously worked at Constellation Energy in their B2B electricity business unit.

John Wheeler
Former Chief Information Officer, Nova Chemicals

John has over 30 years of experience in IT and chemicals. He has served as chief information officer for Nova Chemicals and W.R. Grace and worked on the implementation of SAP and Oracle software solutions. His last position in the industry was executive director of the Chemical Industry Data Exchange (CIDX).
